There are a lot of reasons to consider a small, intimate wedding…especially if you’re planning on a budget.

Many of my brides after their weddings said they wished they had planned a more intimate wedding.

Why?

Because it would have let her splurge on the location of her dreams.

Because only the people she really wanted there would have been invited…no distant cousins or obligatory invites.

Because she would have been able to visit, laugh and connect with EACH ONE of her guests.

Because an intimate, simple wedding really felt like “her”…and she wished she hadn’t let herself be pressured into something HUGE and ELABORATE.

Read 10 Reasons To Go Small at Intimate-Weddings.com.  The articles on this site–and the book on Intimate Weddings–cover all aspects of planning a small wedding reception.

If you are forced to keep your guest list small, it makes your cuts swift and ruthless.  After all, it is YOUR day and only the people YOU want should be invited.  A definite limit makes it easier.  You’ll also be able to choose a location that makes your wedding unique: museums, parks, historic buildings, inns, upscale restaurants…all places that wouldn’t be available with a large guest list.

The benefits of planning an intimate wedding are many.  If you’re getting pulled in different directions by family and friends pressuring you for the OPPOSITE of your dream wedding,  check out my wedding drama busting techniques.
